Pro-say-what?

To appear pro-se is legal Latin for representing yourself (literally, “for self”).

There is an old saying: a man who is his own lawyer, has a fool for a client. This is variously attributed to Abraham Lincoln, William De Britaine and others.

Whoever said it first, is right. A prudent lawyer will advise you, for example, when to settle rather than waste further fees defending a case where you are 100% in the right.

Acerthorn definitely has a fool for a client. To balance this, the foolish client has a thuggish idiot for a lawyer.
